Wimbledon 2018 Betting

Summer in the UK wouldn’t be summer without the Wimbledon tennis tournament, and whilst you may have been put off actually booking tickets to watch the many matches being played there, due to the outrageous cost of those tickets, you may be interested in betting on the players or any of the individual matches that do make it the most watched tennis tournament in the world.

If that is the case then let me start of by giving you an insight into just which of the male players are in with the very best chance of winning Wimbledon in 2018, for whilst there are plenty of players taking part this year, there are only a handful of players that are likely to win it!

If betting on the outright winner betting markets is something you do fancy doing then currently you are going to find it is Roger Federer at 7/4 that heads those betting markets with Novak Djokovic pencilled in as the second favourite at odds of 5/1

Other players worth of note include the likes of Rafael Nadal and Marin Cilic at 13/2, along with Andy Murray at 12/1, Alexander Zverev at 14/1 and Nick Kyrgios at 16/1. All other players have odds of at least 20/1 attached to them!

Other Wimbledon Bet Types

You can of course place loads of different bets and wagers on the individual matches that make up the Wimbledon tennis tournament, so make sure you do consider doing so if you fancy having lots of additional chances of winning throughout that tournament.

As you can place bets on the individual matches being played, then always be prepared to shop around for there will always be the chance odds compilers at different betting sites will have a different outlook on such matches, and could be offering you much higher valued odds on the player you do fancy winning a match!

Women’s Title Betting

You may be much more interested in betting on who will win the women’s title at this year’s Wimbledon, and there are some quite generous odds currently up for grabs if you do wish to do so.

The current favourite, but only just on that betting market is Petra Kvitova at 9/2, but there will be a lot of interest in the likes of Serena Williams at 6/1 and also Gabrine Muguruza at 8/1.

In fact, one bet that does look a value bet at the current moment in time is Angelique Kerber to be crowned the women’s champion and you can get odds of 10/1 on her winning this year if you are quick!

You could also fancy placing a bet on Simona Halep and Sloane Stephens at 14/1 and there are three other players that could win this event but will need everything to fall into place for them to do so and they Karolina Pliskova, Madison Key and Maria Sharapova at 16/1, but their respective odds will drop if they do start to play bang up to their very best form!
