This year’s Royal Ascot with so many of the top owners, trainers and jockeys entering horses in each of the many races that will be run throughout the meeting, will be just as good as any other year of course, but you will have your work cut out trying to pick a winning horse as usual!
Having said that though, there is one betting market that is as popular with punters as it has always been and that IS one in which you are tasked with picking out and naming the jockey that you think is going to be crowned the top jockey at the meeting.
The odds being offered to you at any of our featured betting site will of course vary, so make sure you compare the odds of any jockey you do fancy the chance of, before placing your bet!
If this is a betting market that does interest you then the usual suspects those being Ryan Moore who is currently the 4/6 favourite to be the top jockey and Frankie Dettori whose odds are suspiciously low at 9/4 are the two jockeys most people are betting on.
But with some fresh talent and vastly experienced jockeys too there is always the chance that James Doyle or William Buick could win the title and their odds are both currently 10/1, and even a couple of the outsiders could be named top jockey including Andrea Atzeni and Donnacha O’Brien who are both at 20/1!
Can Oisin Murphy Come Out on Top?
I much prefer betting in advance when trying to pick out the jockey that is going to be the top one at race meetings such as Royal Ascot, and that is something you should consider doing too, for if a jockey does start banging in winners his odds will drop very rapidly!
One jockey that has a good chance of landing the title this year at some huge odds is Oisin Murphy who for reference is on offer at plenty do different betting site at odds of 25/1, and Jim Crowley could also come out on top and his odds are also 25/1.
Adam Kirby and Jamie Spence have of course had plenty of winners in their career on major horse races, so I would never discount their chance of landing the title of the top jockey this year at Royal Ascot, and if you do fancy either of those two jockeys chances then I would urge you to bet on them now whilst their odds are at 33/1!
Two complete outsiders to win the title who are both available at odds if 66/1 are Seamie Heffernan and Silvestre De Sousa, however looking at the horses that both of them are scheduled to ride this year it is not going to be that easy for them to win the title!
But having just said that, experience has taught me to always expect the unexpected in many races being held at Royal Ascot, for I would never put you off betting on either of them! Just make sure you secure the bets odds before the first race of the meeting starts!
