Richmond Tigers Leading the AFL Futures Betting Markets

It is hard to look any further than the current favourite as the winner of the AFL, that is if you take the betting markets at face value currently, for it is the Richmond Tigers that all betting sites have chalked up as the favourite to win, and as far as betting value goes if you do of course fancy their chances 4/1 is readily available at sites such as William Hill.

Whether they will actually make it through to the AFL Grand Final or not does of course remain to be seen, and there are of course no end of other teams that could find their form and not only make it right through to the final game but could go on to win it tool

As such for all of you out there that do enjoy making use of the highest possible odds at this early stage of the betting, I will now go into a little bit more detail as to the odd you will find on offer on each of the other teams that could win the final.

The team that is currently on offer as the second favourites at 6/1 are the Collingwood Magpies and there is certainly some value in those odds, however never overlook teams such as the 13/2 shot the West Coast Eagles as they are bound to play well this season as they can always be relied on to do!

Half the Odds When Backing a Team Each-Way

You can of course somewhat lower your chances of losing when making use of the futures betting market on the AFL by opting to place an each way bet, for even if the win part of such a bet goes down, as long as the tem you select does make it right through to the final game, when betting at sites such as William Hill you will get half the outright winner odds if you team does get through to the final.

That means that the odds of 7/1 on the Melbourne Demons and possibly the 9/1 odds on the Essendon Bombers are worth taking currently, and there is a lot to be said for the chances of teams such as the Greater Western Sydney Giants or the Hawthorn Hawks too at their current odds of 12/1.

You will of course be taking chances backing either to win or each-way any of the other teams but if you fancy doing so you can get odds of 14/1 on the Adelaide Crows and the Sydney Swans or plump for the 16/1 on offer on the Geelong Cats if you prefer.

At 25/1 Port Adelaide Power has very little chance of winning or making it through to the final and the same can also be said for the 28/1 shots the North Melbourne Kangaroos. I doubt that the Brisbane Lions, the Fremantle Dockers or for that matter the Western Bulldogs are going to impress this season but their 50/1 odds are there for the taking.

For all you risk takers out there, there are odds of 100/1 on offer on the Carlton Blues and the St Kilda Saints and even bigger odds of 500/1 are attached to Gold Coast Suns over at William Hill right now!
