Illinois is where the annual John Deere Classic Golf Tournament is played out, and today is when that tournament begins. Even though it will be running through to the 15th of July 2018 what you should be doing right now is placing your bets on just which golfer you think is going to win it.
The odds currently available on the John Deere Classic outright betting markets are as high as they will ever be, for as soon as the entrants in that tournament play their respective matches, and start to get knocked out of it, the odds on the golfers remaining will start to drop.
This is one of those golf tournaments in which there are lots of entrants, all of whom are eager to win a share of the $5,800,000 prize purse, but from a betting point of view there are plenty of bets you can place in addition to an outright winner bet.
You should consider, due to the current high odds attached to each golfer, placing an each-way bet on your chosen one, for many betting sites including Betfred are paying out to seven places at one fifth the win odds.
Current Favourites to Win
As you will often find when looking at the early betting markets the odds attached to the favourite and most likely to win golfers are high, and currently you will find Francesco Molinari at 9/1, Bryson Dechambeau at 10/1, Zach Johnson at 12/1 and Joaquin Niemann at 14/1,
However, there are several other golfers that you should never overlook in golf tournament like this one and as such consider betting on the likes of Steve Stricker at 18/1, Ryan Moore at 18/1, Chesson Hadley at 22/1 and possibly Kyle Stanley at 25/1 too!
For those of you out there who do fancy taking advantage of the one fifth of the odds and seven places being offered on each way bets then a few golfers spring to mind as ones you should be betting on.
With Chris Kirk at 30/1, Austin Cook at 30/1 and Aaron Wise at 33/1 you can get some sizeable winning pay-outs when backing then each-way even if they do not win but get placed, so consider backing any of them!
There is of course always the chance that Wesley Bryan at 33/1, Patrick Rodgers at 40/1 and Andrew Landry at 40/1 may just squeeze into one of the top seven places on the leader board and with those odds being offer right now you should be placing your bets on those golfers quickly if you do fancy their chances.
I also like the look of Scott Piercy at 45/1, Brian Gay at 45/1, Chez Reavie at 45/1, David Lingmerth at 50/1 and Si-Woo Kim at 50/1, for each of those golfers do know how to play the perfect round of golf, and if any of them play up to their very best form then they should get into a placed position on the John deer Golf Tournament this year!
