Guide to Lucky 15, 31, 63 and Goliath Bets

It can be very confusing when you first set about placing bets that allow you to perm together a range of different selections, for you will first have to pick those selections, and then have them covered in such a way that if all of them win you get the highest possible pay-outs!

There are in fact a range of bets that go by the name of 15, 31, 63 and Goliath bets, that are known as full cover wagers. As such you will be best advised to read through this guide, as it will show you how many selections you must pick in different sporting events, and just how many individual bets make each of them up.

One aspect of placing such bets though that I know you will appreciate, is that they incorporate a special bonus element, that can boost the value of one or more of your winning pay-outs, dependent on just how many winners in each bet you have selected.

Plus, all the betting sites you will see fully reviewed on this website all offer these types of bets, so you will not have to spend ages hunting them down at different betting sites!

Lucky 15 Bets

There was a time and not that long ago when one of the most placed full cover bets placed by punters of horse races and greyhound races was a Lucky 15 bet, and as it can be a low-cost bet to place but one that can pay-out big there have been some punters who have won a fortune on such a bet.

You must pick four different horses or greyhounds that are running in different races to be able to place a Lucky 15 bet, and once you do so those best are permed together in such a way that you have four single bets placed, six doubles, four trebles and one four-timer bet on your slip.

If you strike gold and all four of your selections do win then you can expect a bonus pay-out usually of 10% of your total winnings, but if you only get one selection winning you will get a consolation bonus pay-out which will see the pay-out odds on your one winner being doubles.

However, if you do want an interest in four different races, then this is certainly a bet to consider placing, and with some luck could be a huge paying one too, depending on what you bet, the win odds and whether your selections win or not!

Lucky 31 Bet

There are of course some much more adventurous bets that a plain and simple Lucky 15 bet, and one of them is the Lucky 31 bet on which you must pick 5 selections and hope as many of them win as is possible!

The Lucky 31 bet is named as such due to the fact you have 31 bets on your betting slip and those five selections you make are fully covered by 5 singles, 10 doubles, 10 trebles, 5 four-folds and a five-fold accumulator.

The one main attraction of placing such a bet is that only one winner guarantees a winning pay-out, which is often doubled as a bonus, and get all five selections winning ones and a bonus pay-out is awarded to you on top of your standard winnings.

Lucky 63 Bet

One bet you should place if you are planning on watching horse racing on TV is a Lucky 63 Bet, for by placing that bet you are going to have a financial in six different races, and ideally you should; pick the ones being shown on TV, so you can cheer or will your horses home!

Now, being called a Lucky 63 bet there are of course 63 bets attached to this wager type, and they are divided up into 6 singles, 15 doubles, 20 trebles, 15 four-folds, 6 five-folds and a six-fold accumulator and you will be picking out six sections on your betting slip.

As there are six singles if you only get one winner then you will get something back, and often most bookies will double the odds of that one winner as a consolation, but always check to see as not all betting sites will offer that bonus pay-out.

The one thing that I do like about Lucky 63 bets is if you pick all 6 winners then you are in live for a huge pay day, if you haven’t selected a load of massive odds-on favourites to win that is!

Goliath Bet

A Goliath bet requires punters to pick to a total of eight different selections and perm them all together in a whopping 247 individual bets. So, this is not a bet for low rollers or a type of bet for the faint hearted either.

The way in which those 247 bets have been put together is as full over bets of 28 doubles, 56 trebles, 70 four-folds, 56 five-folds, 28 six-folds, 8 seven-folds and an eight-fold accumulator. So, the more winners you pick the bigger and better your winning pay-outs will become.

Even though you may not get all eight selections winning, if you do get a fair number of them winning the chances of you still winning big are very real, for as long as some of the selections that have come in have done so at decent odds the doubles and trebles and four-timers if you do get one up at least can be high paying ones.

But as mentioned if this is the type of bet that does interest you, try and ensure that you equate your stake to your overall bankroll for a Goliath Bet can be an is a risky type of bet and a high cost one too, but when everything falls into place, you will be very glad you placed such a bet! It can take an absolute age to get a winning 8 selections Goliath bet up, but you can only win big on that bet if you place such a bet!
